Today's
Katech
In an industry that defines success one lap at a time, Katech has earned
the trust and respect of racing’s toughest customers lap, after lap, after
lap.
Katech is co-owned by Fritz Kayl, who is president/technical director, and
Warren J. Frieze, vice-president. From its beginnings in a 3,000-square-foot shop
with four employees, Katech, in Clinton Township, Michigan, now operates out of
36,000 square feet (24,000 square feet, ground floor) and employs a crew of 38
people. With this growth our list of accomplishments has grown from our work in
Trans-Am and NASCAR to the American LeMans Series (see Katech Heritage).
Today’s Katech is an industrial leader in advanced racing and high performance
engine development. We exploit the latest CAD/CAM technologies to design and manufacture
racing components and computer-based technologies for valve and fuel delivery
analysis.
We are your One Stop Shop and have not forgotten our roots. Katech is still
your best source for airflow and engine development, plus support services for
the professional racer including boring, honing, fabrication, welding, and any
prototype parts.
Solid experience, products you can depend on, people who speak your language
-- that’s today’s Katech.
