Short-Run Production

We know that while your run may be small, its importance is great. So you can count on exceptional service and attention to detail every step of the way. Whether it’s ten parts or a few hundred, Katech’s manufacturing department consistently delivers on time and to the highest level of quality.  Katech has the machines and capability to produce complex prismatic parts which require four and five axis machining.

We are also able to offer small quantity and large nested runs with the three axis machines.  With short-run manufacturing at Katech, costs can differ greatly compared to full run manufacturing.  Cost is not the only benefit with short-run manufacturing, time is also on your side.  In most cases, short-run manufacturing can be completed within half of the normal time for full run manufacturing.  Bring your product to life in quantity with Katech’s short-run manufacturing capabilities.

Brute 3124-V 5-Axis VMC

The Brute 5-axis machine has the ability to fully port cylinder heads. Un-modified, as-cast factory cylinder heads are usually choked up and restrict the quality and quantity of the air flow. Porting the heads provides the finely detailed attention required to bring the engine to the highest level of efficiency. Unlike traditional hand porting, the Brute 5-axis machine allows Katech Manufacturing to replicate porting in each intake and exhaust port, providing exceptional flow and efficiency.

Our cylinder head porting experience gained through racing research and development allows us to duplicate chambers and ports from one head to the next. This provides us with the ability to match flow and port volumes resulting in class leading flow numbers and higher power outputs for our customers. We have the ability to provide our customers with a wide range of port volumes, combustion chamber sizes and compression ratios in order provide them with their desired power level. Our CNC ported cylinder heads are validated on a flow-bench to ensure they meet our performance standards and outflow the competition.
