Indy Racing League AJ Foyt

At the beginning of 1996, the developing of the IRL Aurora V8 was different than any other previous program.  Katech was to develop the engine, which in turn would be sold in “kit form” to a variety of teams who were going to run in the IRL.  Katech in essence, would be competing with teams who were running the same package, which Katech had developed for General Motors.  Despite providing power to all the series, 1998, Katech captured the IRL Driver and Team Championship with A.J. Foyt Enterprises.  Taking a legendary owner into an infant series, Katech provided the power to produce a winning combination and successful program.
