Katech Engineering is a premier performance engine and vehicle builder serving the aftermarket, motorsports, and corporate markets since 1977.

Our vision is to use what we’ve learned winning races at the most demanding venues worldwide – Indy, Le Mans, Daytona, Sebring, Dakar, and many more to develop, build, and deliver the best engines and vehicle components and packages available anywhere.

History

Founded nearly five decades ago, Katech Engineering has built its reputation at the heart of America’s most iconic performance programs. The firm’s engines and components have powered efforts in IMSA, Le Mans, SCCA, Indy, Dakar, and Grand-Am series. Most notably, Katech is known for its role in the dominant Corvette Racing program, which claimed multiple class victories at endurance races such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Daytona 24, and Sebring 12 Hours. 

But the influence of Katech extends beyond the racetrack; its precision-engineered components and aftermarket solutions have been trusted by enthusiasts, builders, and OEMs worldwide.  Today, Katech remains a benchmark for American performance engineering.

Facilities

Our racing heritage is a tremendous legacy for which we are extremely proud. But what’s most important is the insight and experience gained by our expert staff, through these achievements, that allow us to continuously perfect the products and services we provide.

We are headquartered in Clinton Township, Michigan, located in the metro Detroit area, where we provide our customers world-class service from our nearly 44 000 square foot, climate-controlled facility. This facility houses our sales and engineering centers, our extensive inventory of parts, a fully outfitted CNC machining department, engine building facilities, three dyno testing and validation centers, and our full-service vehicle upfit and vehicle integrations center.

Having all of this capability under one roof allows us to control the quality of our products throughout the entire process, ensuring that we provide the best American-made product to our valued customers.
