Katech Performance Short Blocks and Long Block Assemblies - The Foundation for Extreme Horsepower 

Katech performance engine block assemblies are engineered as high-performance foundations for street and competition applications. This category includes precision-machined engine blocks, professionally assembled short blocks, and complete long block assemblies built for durability and repeatable output. Each assembly begins with strict dimensional control to ensure accurate bore geometry, deck flatness, and main housing alignment, all of which are critical to ring seal, bearing stability, and long-term reliability under elevated cylinder pressure and sustained RPM.

Short blocks are assembled with matched crankshafts, connecting rods, pistons, rings, and bearings configured for the intended power level and operating range. Rotating assemblies are balanced and clearanced according to application requirements, whether naturally aspirated or forced induction. Compression ratio targets, piston design, and ring package selection are specified to support combustion efficiency, structural integrity, and consistent oil control.
