Race-Proven Belt Control for High-Performance LS Truck and SUV Applications.

The Katech LS Truck/SUV Billet Serpentine Belt Tensioner was developed from an accessory drive problem identified during Katech's involvement with the Corvette C5-R racing program. Under high-RPM operating conditions, movement in the factory spring-loaded tensioner could allow the serpentine belt to walk off-center or be thrown from the pulley.

Katech addressed this issue with a rigid, manually adjustable design that maintains consistent belt tension without the movement inherent in a spring-loaded tensioner. This helps support reliable belt tracking during demanding street and competition use.

Designed specifically for compatible LS-powered truck and SUV accessory drive systems, the tensioner is CNC-machined from USA 6061-T6 billet aluminum and finished with a durable anodized coating. Its proven design delivers the strength and reliability required for high-performance applications.
