Fast, Accurate Compression Ratio Measurement Without Removing the Cylinder Head

The Katech WHISTLER™ Compression Ratio Tester is an electronic measurement tool designed to determine the compression ratio of virtually any engine without removing the cylinder head. Designed for professional engine builders, race teams, technical inspectors, sanctioning bodies and performance shops, the WHISTLER™ provides fast compression ratio measurement across a wide range of engine configurations.

To perform a measurement, remove a spark plug and install the appropriate WHISTLER™ adapter. Enter the number of cylinders, engine displacement and engine temperature, then follow the supplied operating procedure to measure and display the engine's compression ratio to the nearest hundredth. The WHISTLER™ is accurate to ±0.05 compression ratio.
