Description
The GM Genuine Parts Engine Front Cover Seal prevents engine oil leakage at the crankshaft sealing surface by maintaining a proper seal between the crankshaft and the front/timing cover. This GM Genuine Part is designed, engineered, and validated to meet General Motors OE specifications and performance standards. Original equipment components are developed to integrate correctly with GM engine systems and sealing interfaces; some aftermarket replacement parts may not match OE material specifications, dimensional tolerances, or durability requirements depending on the application.
Applications: GM Gen III/IV V8 engines including 4.8L, 5.3L, 5.7L, 6.0L, 6.2L, and 7.0L (LS-based 8-cylinder platforms).
