The Katech Gen V L83 & L86 Wet Sump Oil Pump is designed for LT-based truck engines, delivering increased oil volume and pressure compared to standard LT car oil pumps. This pump replaces the factory powdered metal gear with a precision-machined 4140 billet steel gear, improving durability under load and sustained RPM.

Based on the OEM internal crank-driven oil pump design, this unit integrates with the Gen V LT oiling system while providing higher output characteristics than standard car-based LT oil pumps. This pump is supplied as a brand new assembly with no core required.

When used in car applications such as LT1 or LT2 platforms, calibration changes may be required to disable oil pump-related diagnostic trouble codes. Use of this pump in those applications will result in higher than OEM oil pressure.
