Camshaft Bolt and Washer for Gen V LT Engines with a Fully Locked-Out OEM Cam Phaser

The Katech Gen V LT VVT Lockout Camshaft Bolt & Washer is designed for LT engines using a VVT lockout with the OEM cam phaser. The bolt is compatible with older-style OEM phasers when the phaser is fully locked out. The included Katech washer accommodates the increased inside diameter of the actuator found in newer-style phasers used in 2020+ applications.

For newer-style phasers requiring the washer, install it with the side marked “THIS SIDE UP” facing the bolt head.

IMPORTANT: The OEM cam phaser must be fully locked out. This camshaft bolt will NOT work with a phaser limiter.

Installation Instructions

1. Confirm That the OEM Cam Phaser Is Fully Locked Out
2. For Newer-Style Phasers Requiring the Washer, Position the Washer with the Side Marked “THIS SIDE UP” Facing the Bolt Head
3. Apply High-Pressure Grease Under the Head of the Bolt
4. Apply Red Loctite to the Bolt Threads
5. Torque the Camshaft Bolt to 105 ft-lbs

NOTE: The camshaft bolt is reusable if needed.
