The Katech Gen-V L87 & L8T Wet Sump Oil Pump is designed to improve durability in Gen-V truck engine oiling systems by replacing the factory powdered metal gear with a precision-machined 4140 billet steel gear. This upgrade provides increased strength and resistance to gear failure under high load and high RPM conditions.

Each unit is a brand-new oil pump, no core required, making it a straightforward solution for both OEM replacement and performance engine builds.

When used in car applications with a truck-based pump, calibration changes may be required to disable high-performance oil pump DTC codes (via HP Tuners, EFI Live, or similar platforms).
