Technical Overview
Gen 6 GM LT fuel systems are originally designed around a single primary in-tank fuel pump. When upgraded to a dual pump configuration using the Katech Dual Fuel Pump Module (KAT-7763), an appropriate electrical control and integration solution is required to properly power and operate the secondary pump.
The Katech Dual Fuel Pump Controller & Integration Harness fulfills this role by providing the electrical interface necessary to support dual pump operation while maintaining compatibility with the vehicle’s factory fuel system architecture. The system is engineered to deliver stable voltage supply and sufficient continuous current capacity to reliably power the secondary pump under increased fuel demand conditions common in high-horsepower and forced-induction LT1 and LT4 applications.
Its wide 10–22V operating range also allows use in systems equipped with voltage boosters while maintaining protected operation through integrated short-circuit safeguards.
