What makes our camshafts so great is our ability to analyze the valve while it is in motion on our Optron spin cell. This is a claim that few people in the industry can make, especially since we were one of the first companies to use this technology. With our involvement in the C5-R race program, we can safely claim that there has never once been a failure due to insufficient valvetrain design. What this means is you will get the most durable, highest revving cam package that is on the market today. You can also be assured that every aspect of the camshaft has been designed for great power and superb driveability. Note, check fuel pump preload on all but especially on LT2 applications. The Katech Torquer LT 427 235/251 Performance Camshaft was developed for high-performance naturally aspirated Gen 5 LT combinations, including 427ci applications requiring broad mid-range torque, strong top-end power, and superior long-term durability. Every aspect of the lobe profile was engineered to optimize valve motion stability, airflow efficiency, direct injection fuel pump operation, and street-to-track drivability. The result is a camshaft package capable of delivering aggressive naturally aspirated performance characteristics with excellent street manners.
Note: Fuel pump preload should always be checked during installation, especially on LT2 applications.
