The Katech Gen 5 LT VVT-Delete Billet Front Cover Kit for Wet Sump Systems is designed to eliminate VVT from Gen 5 LT style engines and convert factory variable valve timing applications to a fixed camshaft configuration in wet sump setups. This revised design includes a modified camshaft sprocket, camshaft bolt, and LS-style front crankshaft seal for proper fit, sealing, and durability.
The Katech VVT-Delete front cover deletes the VVT cam phaser, which can become problematic when installing an aftermarket camshaft. Machined from billet aluminum, anodized for corrosion resistance, and made in the USA by Katech Engineering, this front cover kit is engineered for high-performance street and race engines using single bolt camshaft combinations.
