Description

Katech Gen V LT1/LT2 Torquer Camshaft

Performance Camshaft Engineering for Gen V LT1 and LT2 Engine Builds.

The Katech Gen V LT1/LT2 Torquer Camshaft brings Katech's engine and valvetrain development experience to LT1 and LT2 performance builds. Its profile features 219°/233° duration at .050", .643"/.655" valve lift with a 1.80:1 rocker ratio, and a 118° lobe separation angle.

This camshaft features an 11% fuel pump lobe with 6.5mm fuel lobe lift. A 4° VVT limiter or full lockout is recommended. Fuel pump preload must be checked during installation on all applications, with particular attention to LT2 builds.

Katech's camshaft development draws on decades of racing engine experience and Optron Spin Cell valve motion analysis. Final power, driveability, and operating range depend on the complete engine combination, supporting components, and ECU calibration.

  • Professional Installation: Recommended for Proper Setup and Verification

Cylinder Head Decking: Katech's application guidance allows .030" cylinder head decking with OEM pistons, subject to verification of the specific engine combination. Always check piston-to-valve clearance when using decked cylinder heads. Contact Katech Technical Sales before machining to confirm suitability for your build.

Why Choose Katech

Katech has been involved in the racing industry since 1977, with engine development experience that includes the Corvette C5-R race program. That heritage informs our approach to performance camshaft and valvetrain development.

Our Optron Spin Cell technology allows Katech engineers to analyze valve motion during operation and evaluate valvetrain control. This development process helps guide camshaft and component combinations with power and durability in mind.
