Development & Validation

Katech developed the design on its Spintron valvetrain dynamics test cell. Stability was validated up to 8,100 RPM in tested combinations, and durability was evaluated using Katech's 24 Hours of Daytona course simulation.

These results apply to the evaluated packages. The appropriate engine operating range depends on the complete camshaft, valve, spring, lifter, pushrod, and rocker combination.

Fitment & Installation Notes

Confirm that the replacement matches the existing valvetrain package, including valve stem dimensions and valve lock compatibility.

  • Inspect Springs and Locks for Wear or Damage
  • Check Spring Installed Height and Spring Pressures
  • Verify Coil Bind Clearance at Maximum Valve Lift
  • Check Retainer-to-Seal and Retainer-to-Guide Clearance
  • Follow Appropriate Valvetrain Inspection and Service Intervals

Why Choose Katech

Katech combines component engineering and manufacturing with in-house valvetrain testing. That process evaluates how the retainer performs within a matched engine package and supports informed component selection for demanding applications.
