Description

Katech Extreme Duty H13 Tool Steel Dual Valve Spring Replacement Retainer

Individual Hardened H13 Tool Steel Retainer for Compatible PSI Dual Valve Spring Packages.

The Katech Extreme Duty H13 Tool Steel Dual Valve Spring Replacement Retainer is engineered and manufactured by Katech Engineering in Clinton Township, Michigan, USA. Designed for PSI-LS1512 and PSI-LS1513 dual valve springs, its hardened H13 tool steel construction provides increased long-term wear resistance compared with titanium retainers in evaluated Katech camshaft packages.

Sold Individually. Each purchase includes one Katech Extreme Duty H13 Tool Steel Dual Valve Spring Replacement Retainer.

Katech developed this retainer on its Spintron valvetrain dynamics test cell for demanding racing conditions. Steel valve springs can wear into titanium retainer contact surfaces over time; this H13 tool steel design provides an alternative where spring-contact wear and service life are important considerations.

The design was validated for valvetrain stability up to 8,100 RPM in tested combinations and evaluated for durability using Katech's 24 Hours of Daytona course simulation. These results apply to the evaluated packages and do not establish a universal engine RPM limit.
