Description
Katech Gen V LT 427 Track Attack Camshaft
LT 427 Performance Camshaft Engineering Optimized for 12.5:1 or Higher Compression and the MSD Atomic Intake Manifold.
The Katech Gen V LT 427 Track Attack Camshaft is optimized for performance engine combinations using 12.5:1 or higher compression ratios and the MSD Atomic Intake Manifold. Its profile features 242°/258° duration at .050", .648"/.639" valve lift with a 1.80:1 rocker ratio, a 113° lobe separation angle, and +2.5° camshaft advance.
This camshaft features an 11% fuel pump lobe with 6.5mm fuel lobe lift. Supporting valvetrain components, fuel system configuration, and ECU calibration should be matched to the completed engine combination.
Aftermarket pistons with larger valve reliefs are required. Piston-to-valve clearance must be verified during installation. Fuel pump preload should be checked on all applications, with particular attention to LT2 builds.
The MSD Atomic Intake Manifold is part of the intended combination for this profile. Confirm intake manifold fitment and hood clearance for your specific C7 Corvette, 6th Gen Camaro, or other installation.
Final power, idle quality, driveability, and operating range depend on displacement, compression ratio, cylinder heads, intake and exhaust systems, fuel, and calibration.

Why Choose Katech
The Katech Gen V LT 427 Track Attack Camshaft is intended for a deliberate engine combination: increased compression, an appropriate intake manifold, and pistons that provide the required valve clearance. Selecting those components together is central to getting the intended performance from the build.
Katech combines racing engine development experience with Optron Spin Cell valve motion analysis to evaluate how the camshaft and supporting valvetrain work together. That approach helps guide component selection beyond duration and lift alone.
Katech Technical Sales can help review your compression ratio, cylinder heads, piston configuration, and intake system to determine whether the Katech Gen V LT 427 Track Attack Camshaft is appropriate for your engine.
