Description
Katech LS7 / LS3 416ci Track Attack Camshaft
Maximum-Effort Competition Performance for LS7 and LS3-Based 416ci Builds, with the Ability to Be Street Driven.
The Katech LS7 / LS3 416ci Track Attack Camshaft is a maximum-effort hydraulic roller camshaft designed for all-out competition use with the ability to be street driven. Applications include LS7 and appropriately configured LS3-based 416ci engine builds.
Specifications include 247°/261° duration at .050", .670"/.670" valve lift with a 1.80:1 rocker ratio, a 112° lobe separation angle, and +2° camshaft advance. Actual valve lift depends on the rocker ratio used in the completed engine.
In an appropriately configured LS7 combination using Katech CNC-ported LS7 cylinder heads, a free-flowing exhaust, an appropriate intake manifold, and supporting calibration, the Katech LS7 / LS3 416ci Track Attack Camshaft is designed to support a 600 rear-wheel horsepower target. A customer vehicle produced a reported 616 RWHP with this profile.
With an experienced calibrator and a carefully matched engine combination, the Katech LS7 / LS3 416ci Track Attack Camshaft can provide very good street manners for a camshaft of this size. This profile was featured in Abel Chevrolet's Optima Street Car Challenge vehicle.
Piston-to-valve clearance must be checked during installation. Forged pistons with larger valve reliefs are highly recommended.
