Katech LS Billet Steel Main Caps are engineered to strengthen the bottom end of compatible GM Gen III and Gen IV LS Engine Blocks used in demanding street, racing, boosted, and nitrous-assisted applications. Precision-machined from billet steel, the caps provide increased strength, while dual 1/4-inch Steel Dowel Pins positively locate each cap within the Engine Block to improve main cap stability and alignment.

Unlike factory LS Main Caps that rely on the cast aluminum register walls for location, the Katech design uses dual 1/4-inch Steel Dowel Pins to positively locate each cap within the Engine Block. Installation requires precision Engine Block machining by a qualified engine machine shop.
